About Us
St. Joseph's College, a Catholic private school, was founded in 1953. The school is located in Nugegoda. The student population is approximately 1,500, with a professionally well-qualified, dedicated, and experienced academic staff of 93 to ensure continuity of academic and personal development. In response to the increasing demand for co-education, St. Joseph's College offers classes in English and Sinhala medium from grades 1 to 13. Advanced-level classes are conducted in the Art and Commerce streams. St. Joseph's College is committed to educating the whole child and offers a wide range of extracurricular activities. We aim to ensure that every child has the opportunity to discover their passions, excel in them, and be cognized for their achievements enabling them to reach their full potential.

Learning teaching process
Teaching activities are conducted by a panel of approximately 90 skilled and experienced teachers for primary, secondary and advance level classes.
Sports
Skilled and experienced sports coaches train in cricket, Basketball, Swimming, Football, Badminton, Chess, Athlatic and many other sports, cultivating talented players.

We have already started using smart classroom technology for the teaching process.

Several different student associations are functioning in the school. Among them are English and Sinhala Literary Associations, Information Technology Association, Commerce Association, Student Leader Association, Scout Association.
